‘Trump and the Nazis Stole Christmas’: Yes, That’s An Actual Headline In Newsweek

Remember when Newsweek was taken seriously? Yeah, me neither. It’s been a long time. I think it was popular when my grandma was in high school. Today, Newsweek exists simply for conservatives to make fun of. I’m convinced that’s the only reason they are in business. They get traffic by saying insane things that conservatives use to mock liberals with. It’s annoying but a little bit fun at the same time.

It’s really starting to look like there are two types of liberals in this country. Moderates who don’t really follow politics and tend to give Trump the benefit the doubt and liberals who have completely lost touch with reality. Sadly, the latter seems to have the bigger mouthpiece in political discussions. For example, check out this actual Newsweek headline that just ran. I promise you it’s not a joke.

From Breitbart:

The once-storied Newsweek published an article on Christmas Eve with the title, “How Trump and the Nazis Stole Christmas to Promote White Nationalism.”

The article “reports” that “critics” say President Donald Trump’s “crusade” to reintroduce “Merry Christmas” over the more neutral “happy holidays” as the standard Christmas greeting is “part of a larger attempt by the president to define America as a country for white Christians alone.”

Aren’t liberals a little embarrassed by this kind of thing yet?

There isn’t a single piece of evidence out there to even suggest Trump is a white supremacist. In fact, there’s a mountain of evidence that says otherwise. It’s completely made up. Out of thin air.

Here’s an excerpt from the awful article.

From Newsweek:

Wishing people “merry Christmas” instead of “happy holidays,” is thus in line with Trump’s decision to ban citizens of Muslim-majority countries from entering the United States, critics say. It fits neatly with his refusal to condemn white supremacists when they march against diversity, and with his condemnation of athletes who protest police brutality against black men.

With this in mind, the fight to end the war on Christmas is exclusionary politics at its most flagrant.

What in the world is she talking about?

You know what the worst part about this is? Every time a liberal compares Trump to Hitler it’s a huge slap in the face to all the people who Hitler killed. All the Jews murdered by Hitler are not trivialized because some know-nothing liberal writer equated the Holocaust (maybe the worst thing to ever happen on earth ever) to a president getting elected that hurt her feelings.

Do you think conservatives were thrilled when Obama won? It was terrifying. The guy was clearly in over his head and was almost guaranteed to be a terrible president. Conservatives didn’t run around calling Obama Hitler. They organized and formed the Tea Party which ultimately was able to keep Obama somewhat in check for a few years.

That’s what normal people do. They elect new people in charge. They don’t run around downplaying the Holocaust and what Nazis represented.

This is pathetic. No matter how you slice it and this “writer” should be ashamed.
